Update: Dropped Course Enrollments are Processing

When GU Experience migrated to a cloud based infrastructure in mid-October 2024, we had to pause official course drops in Canvas out of an abundance of caution. In early December, we were able to resume the hourly course enrollment updates in Canvas during Georgetown University’s local business hours.  

  • Your enrollments in GU Experience should now match your Canvas enrollments.
  • There is still about a 2-3 hour enrollment delay (during local business hours) between GU Experience and Canvas.
  • Enrollment changes/updates made in GU Experience outside of Georgetown University’s local business hours will appear in Canvas the following morning (starting around 10am ET).
    For example:
    • If you made enrollment changes in GU Experience at 9pm ET they will appear in Canvas around 10am ET the following day.
    • If you made enrollment changes in GU Experience at 3am ET they will appear in Canvas around 10am ET the same day.
  • The automated course combination service is now running and instructors who have signed up for the service should now see their Spring 2025 courses automatically combined.

We apologize for the inconvenience the enrollment issues may have caused you, but we hope they are behind us as we continue to improve our systems!
